As the Marketing and Communications Director, you’ll be an integral part of our mission-driven team, leading the strategy and execution of all marketing, branding, and communications initiatives. This role encompasses both the Camp Rainbow Gold and Hidden Paradise brands, as Hidden Paradise serves as our permanent camp home. All responsibilities outlined in this job description apply to both brands, ensuring cohesive messaging and alignment across all communications, marketing, and branding efforts.

Strategic Marketing and Vision

  • Develop and execute a unified marketing and PR strategy that advances CRG’s goals, engages target audiences, and enhances brand impact across multiple platforms, including Hidden Paradise and the Share Your Heart Ball (SYHB).
  • Ensure all communications reflect CRG’s mission, values, and community impact.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Oversee the marketing budget to maximize impact and manage vendor partnerships and communications contracts.
  • Coordinate employment postings with the Administrative Assistant.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Hire, train, and lead the marketing team to maintain CRG’s brand standards and messaging consistency.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while promoting team growth and performance.

Public Relations and Media Strategy

  • Design a PR strategy to strengthen media relationships and build CRG’s visibility.
  • Serve as the main media contact, coordinating press releases, interviews, and outreach.

Donor and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Implement communication initiatives that recruits families, inspires donor and community support, highlighting CRG’s impact and fostering long-term relationships.

Content Development and Brand Messaging

  • Lead content creation for all platforms, ensuring consistent messaging across digital, print, and campaign materials.
  • Develop and approve key narratives and content themes that align with marketing objectives.

Graphic Design and Visual Standards

  • Oversee the production of visual assets and manage design projects to maintain brand consistency.
  • Ensure quality in print materials and event collateral, building relationships with print vendors.

Digital and Web Strategy

  • Drive CRG’s digital presence, optimizing website content, managing SEO, and overseeing Google Ad Grant initiatives.
  • Collaborate with developers to maintain an engaging, mission-aligned online experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, business, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in strategic marketing, communications, or public relations, with proven leadership experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting.
  • Expertise in marketing strategy, team leadership, and brand development, with skills in graphic design and content creation.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and digital marketing tools, with a strong eye for quality and detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for creating high-quality, impactful content that engages diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management abilities, including experience with budget oversight and vendor management.
  • A commitment to CRG’s values and purpose, with a passion for making a positive impact on the community.
  • Adaptable to changing conditions.
  • Must pass background check.
