General Summary
The Database Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the database, which emphasizes
keeping accurate Child Protection Act case records. The Database Coordinator reports directly to
the CASA Database Administrator and ultimately the CASA Program Director. The Database Coordinator
is responsible for ensuring all case information is accurately input, tracked, and maintained. They
will also identify best practices and recommend procedures and solutions for database accuracy and
efficiency.
Essential Job Functions
The work breakdown will be approximately 90% data management and entry and 10% other duties.
• Maintain strict standards of confidentiality, specifically not disclosing, sharing,
discussing, or otherwise making known with any staff, volunteer, public, or otherwise unauthorized
persons;
• Maintain an efficient electronic file system for all case files for a large volume of Child
Protection Act court proceedings;
• Maintain all initial court files and records in DropBox and case management system;
• Input data timely, with minimal errors, while following local data management plan;
• Liaison with County Clerks in four counties and Idaho Department of Health and Welfare
representatives to ensure timely receipt of new case documentation, placements, and referrals;
• Audit database and ensure integrity and accuracy of data;
• Work in multiple databases simultaneously and with ease;
• Work with the Case Intake & Database Administrator and CASA Program Director on a regular
basis to track trends, discuss cases, and ensure the team is kept informed of all relevant
information;
• Be available to answer questions from the team and coworkers regarding the database or new
cases.
Job Criteria
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or Associates Degree;
• At least one year of experience with database management or similar role;
• Fast and accurate typing skills (40-60 words per minute);
• Good understanding of MS Office programs;
• Superior organizational and multi-tasking abilities;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of child abuse and the child welfare system or experience in volunteer management.
• Valid Idaho driver's license and current car insurance.
