Job Title: Part-Time Grant Writer
Location: Lincoln County (Remote with occasional in-person meetings)
Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grant Writer to help support various organizations within Lincoln County. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing funding to support community-based programs, initiatives, and services that benefit our local schools, libraries, youth centers, and other community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Funding Opportunities: Identify and research relevant funding sources, including federal, state, and private grants, as well as local foundations and corporate sponsorships.
Grant Writing: Prepare and write clear, compelling, and well-organized grant proposals for a variety of community-based organizations in Lincoln County. This potentially includes grants for the school district, library, county pool, recreations district and youth center, among others.
Proposal Management: Manage all aspects of the grant application process, including gathering necessary documentation, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring compliance with all funder requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders within each organization to gather information and develop project plans for grant applications. Maintain strong communication with the leadership team to stay informed of community priorities.
Grant Reporting: Assist in writing reports for grant funders to track project outcomes and ensure continued funding.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional grant writing experience, with a proven track record of successfully securing grants.
Knowledge: Familiarity with the nonprofit sector, particularly in education, community services, and youth programs is preferred
Strong Writing Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals that effectively communicate the needs and goals of the organizations.
Research Abilities: Strong research skills to identify new and ongoing funding opportunities.
Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Preferred: Experience with grants related to education, youth services, or community development is a plus.
