Manager of Operations and Programs

 

Summary:

Under the direction of an Executive Director, the Manager of Operations and Programs supports the mission and growth of professional nursing organizations operating within the Idaho Center for Nursing management umbrella. This role requires a high degree of independence, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with diverse focus areas. This is a dynamic position ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a flexible, mission-driven environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support
  • Event Planning
    • Oversee venue, catering, audio-visual, and other logistical needs for annual nursing conferences, with occasional statewide travel required.
    • Manage registration pages, payments, and refunds.
    • Coordinate event marketing, promotion, and awareness.
    • Recruit and secure event sponsors, exhibitors, and vendors.
    • Seek bids and procure promotional materials (“swag”), as needed.
  • Program Coordination
    • Identify and execute new and existing non-dues revenue sources.
    • Facilitate organizational Research Services and Partnership Programs.
    • Support various Special Interest Groups (SIG) and committees:
      • Assist with planning the bi-monthly CNO Circle.
      • Schedule quarterly virtual meetings for the Psychiatric Mental Health Provider SIG.
      • Attend quarterly in-person meetings and act as technical support for the Private Practice Nurse Practitioners of Idaho SIG.
    • Serve as the Nurse Refresher Program Coordinator:
      • Serve as the public-facing point of contact for interested parties and enrolled participants.
      • Liaise with multiple state Boards of Nursing.
      • Correspond with contracted faculty and clinical coordinator.
      • Ensure participant compliance with pre-clinical requirements (vaccinations, background checks, etc.).
      • Review and negotiate contracts with clinical sites.
      • Invoice Idaho LAUNCH and Vocational Rehabilitation grants.
    • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree or higher.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Proficiency in, or the willingness to learn, a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva, and others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing deadlines and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Full-time, exempt position starting at $47,840-$52,000/year (equivalent to $23-$25/hour).
  • Annual paid time off includes 20 days (shared between vacation days and sick days) and 11 paid holidays.
  • Flexible work arrangements with options for remote, in-office, or hybrid, based on employee preference and organizational needs.
  • This position is eligible for 501(C)3 public service loan forgiveness.
  • Additional health insurance stipend may be negotiated individually.
