Giraffe Laugh Early Learning Centers

Giraffe Laugh Early Learning Centers provides early education and nurturing to over 200 children in the Treasure Valley daily by ensuring school readiness, empowering families and building strong futures.

Position:

We are seeking a highly organized and passionate Event Coordinator to oversee and collaborate with the development team to plan events, from initial concept to successful execution. This individual will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that each event meets high-quality standards, and reaching fundraising goals set by the development team, to include the event coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alongside development team, plan, design, and execute events while adhering to timelines and project delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Giraffe Laugh development team: ED, Philanthropy Director, marketing coordinator and sustainability committee (at times there will be an event committee as well). to understand our vision, needs, and ensure overall satisfaction and success in raising critical funds to meet the mission.
  • Conduct market research, gather information, and negotiate contracts to secure event deals. Explore in kind and reduced price options.
  • Provide regular updates, feedback, and reports to the development team and sustainability and/or event committee(s) on event progress.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance service offerings and overall event quality.
  • Working with the development team and marketing, manage all event logistics, including décor, catering, entertainment, transportation, venue selection, guest lists, special guests, equipment, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, insurance, health, and safety regulations.
  • Determine staffing needs and oversee recruitment, coordination, and appreciation follow-up of volunteers.
  • Work with marketing and public relations teams to promote and publicize events.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during event execution.
  • Perform pre- and post-event evaluations and deliver detailed outcome reports.
  • Identify new event opportunities through market research and actively generate interest.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining event quality.
  • Seek out visibility opportunities in small events such as tabling, to increase outreach and visibility where possible.

Ideal candidates will possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in coordinating successful events.
