Idaho Youth Sports Commission is Seeking a Passionate Part-Time Director

About Idaho Youth Sports Commission:

The Idaho Youth Sports Commission is dedicated to shaping young lives through the power of sports. We achieve this by providing financial assistance to economically disadvantaged families, including supplying sneakers for kids, and by funding education and training for coaches and parents to maximize the youth sports experience for children across Idaho.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Part-Time Co-Director to join our team and play a key role in the strategic and operational functions of the Idaho Youth Sports Commission in the Idaho Falls area.  This role will contribute significantly to the successful execution of our programs and enhance our positive impact on youth sports across the state.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of organizational strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate program activities, including financial assistance and training initiatives.
  • Oversee communication and correspondence with stakeholders, including families, coaches, and partners.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and financial documentation.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, events, and training sessions.
  • Represent the Idaho Youth Sports Commission at community events and partner meetings.
  • Assist in the distribution of resources, including sneaker distribution logistics.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in program coordination or management.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively  and independently.  
  • Passion for youth sports and the mission of the Idaho Youth Sports Commission.
  • Must live in Idaho Falls or within 30 miles.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with non-profit organizations.
  • Familiarity with fundraising.
  • Some experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of the youth sports landscape in Idaho.

Details:

  • Part-time, 30-35 hours a month  (flexible hours within standard business days)
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Hybrid ( remote work with some required in-person meetings and events.)
