NeighborWorks® Boise (NWB) is a local affordable housing nonprofit that helps Idahoans obtain, maintain, and retain housing. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Resident Services Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting residents across our affordable rental communities.  Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Resident Services Coordinator leads programs and initiatives that promote resident well-being, stability, and community engagement. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, this role works directly with residents, staff, and community partners to empower individuals, strengthen resident and community connections, and foster leadership. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Resident Services

  • Facilitate, coordinate, and oversee Resident Services programming, including recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers
  • Conduct resident outreach, needs assessments, and co-create service plans that provide enrichment opportunities
  • Build trust and relationships by spending time on-site with residents
  • Partner with property managers, asset managers, and resident leaders to strengthen community connections
  • Connect residents with NWB programs and services that promote financial self-sufficiency, homebuyer readiness, and resource awareness
  • Support resident councils, leadership development, and resident-led initiatives
  • Develop systems that connect residents with resources and increase housing stability
  • Track and report on participation, service usage, and program outcomes
  • Assist with program budget, policies, and evaluation methods

 Outreach and Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain partnerships with nonprofits, government agencies, and service providers
  • Lead the planning and execution of resident-focused events such as National Night Out, while supporting NWB community-wide events like Paint The Town™ and Rake Up Boise™
  • Develop and update volunteer training procedures, ensuring volunteers are engaged and supported
  • Assist with content creation for digital and print materials that highlight Resident Services programming
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong relationship-building skills with residents and partners
  • Experience working with diverse populations using trauma-informed, resident-centered practices
  • Ability to motivate and engage residents and volunteers
  • Strong communication, group facilitation, and listening skills
  • Collaborative, adaptable team player with problem-solving abilities
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable tracking data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; database/CRM experience a plus
  • Professional, confidential, and mission-driven

 Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year experience in volunteer management, event coordination, or community engagement
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and working with low-income/diverse populations Bilingual proficiency preferred

 Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting $19.00 per hour or DOE

Location: Boise, ID
