Position Summary
The CEO provides strategic leadership to advance the WCA’s mission. Working closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership team, and community stakeholders, the CEO drives long-term sustainability through philanthropy, innovative programming, and operational excellence. This role ensures the WCA’s continued impact while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal management systems, staff development, and operational efficiency. Ensure sound financial practices, compliance, and accurate reporting in partnership with Finance staff and Board committees.
- Build strong relationships with community partners, funders, and public stakeholders. Lead revenue generation strategies, including philanthropy, endowment growth, grants, and mission-aligned business ventures. Represent the WCA at public speaking engagements, coalitions, and community initiatives.
- Serve as the organization’s primary spokesperson. Strengthen trust and engagement among staff, donors, media, and community partners through transparent, authentic communication.
- Partner with the Board and executive team to develop and execute long-range strategic plans. Build leadership capacity within the senior team and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience (nonprofit executive leadership strongly preferred).
- Successful track record in fundraising and donor engagement.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, or related social services preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
