Overview:  Under general guidance from the Development Director, supports development efforts, major gifts programs and fundraising initiatives.  Manage, maintain and oversee Ronald McDonald House’s CRM database system ensuring accurate donor records. Works closely with the Development Team to analyze and mine donor data for prospecting, donor cultivation and relationship building. This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position based out of the Ronald McDonald House in Boise, Idaho.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Database Management and Maintenance

  • Manages the RMHC donor database. This includes gift entry, reporting and a thorough knowledge of extracting data, reports and lists.
  • Responsible for record keeping of all donor activity and setting processes for all tracking mechanisms and reporting.
  • Accurately and timely prepare all gift acknowledgment letters/tax receipts and tribute notifications identifying opportunities for personalization.
  • Print correspondence from database acknowledging the receipt of monetary and in-kind gifts.
  • Create donor engagement activity records and tracking mechanisms.
  • Study and evaluate giving records according to donor types and trends to determine opportunities to enhance relationships with donors and prospect existing data.
  • Assist with Development team’s events, which include event past attendance, prospects lists, fair market value records, donation records, and receipts.
  • Oversee daily database maintenance and upgrades, create proper procedures and operational manuals for CRM procedures and reporting.
  • Build Revenue reports, weekly monetary and in-kind, monthly and annual metric analytics.
  • Maintain database accuracy and integrity through careful entry and thoughtful cleanup projects.
  • Maintain data, donor, guest, and partner confidentially.

  • Development team to solicit, steward and thank donors including revenue reports, weekly monetary and in-kind, monthly and annual reports

Development

  • Assist Development Director to support the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of current and prospective individual, corporate and foundation donors as they seek to learn more about and provide support to the mission and programming of RMHC.
  • Create tracking metrics, analyzing and interpreting metrics to identify trends and to refine and improve stewardship and engagement strategies.
  • Assist the Development Director with cultivation tactics and development growth; prospect lists, donor communications, campaign goals and strategy, giving programs, and metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to support the stewardship of key donor portfolios assisting with meeting preparation, follow-up, and personalized correspondence when necessary.
  • Help build donor impact reports and custom stewardship deliverables.
  • Collaborate and participate in special Events: Provide research support for special events, including identifying high-net-worth individuals and partners who may be interested in attending or supporting.
  • Assist with Granting process including but not limited to writing, research, and reporting, helping to keep calendar of grants up to date and accurate.
  • Field phone calls and problem-solve while providing excellent service to our stakeholders

  

Finance

  • Reconciliation of cash and checks in conjunction with the Administrative Director.
  • Work with Administrative Director to ensure credit card deposits and all incoming event funds and donations are recorded and balanced accordingly.
  • Assist with monthly financial reconciliations, reporting, and other tasks as necessary.
  • Ensure event goods and services data are collected, work with Event Manager to properly acknowledge event donors and ensure communications and records are compliant for Administration Director’s reporting needs.

 

 

           

Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree or matching work experience of 4-5 years or more with background work in general areas of fundraising, development,membership or other database management, business administration, bookkeeping, or related field.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high proficiency with computer databases, word processing, and spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Must exhibit flexibility with multiple work assignments and respond well to changing priorities.
  • Willing to work some nights and weekend events.
  • Must have experience in donor prospecting and stewardship.
  • Must maintain high confidentiality and understand working with private and sensitive data.
