Description: Downtown Boise Association (DBA) seeks a Program Manager who understands the DBA mission and the importance of our role in keeping downtown Boise a vibrant, attractive, engaging destination. The Program Manager is our boots on the ground, utilizing their exceptional tactical skills to keep our fast-paced, growing downtown beautiful and clean. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, excels at meeting program revenue goals, and isn’t afraid to make phone calls and be consistent with follow-up communications. You will join a collaborative team of four other staff members who are setting the course for the future of downtown.
This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with staff, the Downtown Maintenance Team, stakeholders and partners, and the DBA Board in a variety of roles as described below.

Work Environment & Schedule: Must be able to successfully work both independently and collaboratively in an office setting, throughout downtown, and on-site for events. Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday but does require work on evenings and weekends based on event and activation schedules. The position is expected to average 40 hours a week, with flexible timing for hours worked.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Meet revenue goals for Banner program sales, Adopt-a-Pot sponsorship, Stage Rentals, and Associate memberships.
- Communicate with Downtown Maintenance Team (DMT) on a regular basis about DBA programs and events and other activities going on downtown; run monthly check-in meetings; keep DMT apprised of projects or plans where their input is needed.
- Manage Banner Program including contracts, approvals, payments, banner locations, and coordination of banner installation, removal, and pickup.
- Manage Stage Program and act as liaison between stage operator and event organizers.
- Oversee over 500 downtown flowerpots including contractors who maintain seasonal planting, and any related maintenance, and manage Downtown Adopt-a-Pot sponsorship program.
- Coordinate placement of holiday lights hanging and removal with external partners; work with City and County to complete permits and planning, including delivery and access to holiday décor storage.
- Assist downtown stakeholders regarding maintenance calls; tracking down the proper responsible parties and following up to make sure that issues are taken care of; send seasonal maintenance letters to membership.
- Manage Downtown Boise Gift Card Program, including training businesses, ordering supplies, and issuing gift cards for online and in-person orders.
- Lead membership initiatives including maintaining accurate membership activity records and reporting on CRM, website listings, gift card acceptance, and general business surveys.
- Execute the annual Downtown Map & Guide including advertisement sales, design and printing of directory, distribution, and restocking.
- Work with the Executive Director to develop and manage program budgets.
- Attend, inform, and present to Board Members about programs updates & projects.
- Lead outreach to potential DBA associate members. Identify potential growth areas through prospecting new and existing members, while maintaining existing and developing new members and delivering information regarding membership.
- Execute the creation and management of member updates and necessary communication that may include letters, welcome packets, newsletters, meetings, and member events.
- Act as a DBA member/business liaison; strengthen relationships with all members.
- Assist DBA member businesses and partners to help identify concerns, troubleshoot solutions, and recognize opportunities; maintain positive relationships with businesses, partners, stakeholders, and DBA team.
- Participate in outreach and welcome new downtown businesses with informational orientations about DBA and BID services.
- Foster and cultivate a sense of inclusivity continually working to make DBA and other downtown activities as welcoming, inclusive, accessible, and equitable as possible.
- Assist with events and promotions; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ experience managing programs.
- Experience in sales and revenue generation, meeting sales goals for specific program functions.
- Experience in marketing, advertising, or communications preferred.
- Exceptional skills in organization and time-management and ability to work self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple, ever-changing priorities, personalities, and deadlines.
- Driven to think outside the box, be creative, and try new things.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and knowledge of Google software and Slack, experience with Monday.com, Canva, and Adobe Photoshop a plus.
- Experience in a non-profit environment a plus.
- Familiarity and connections to current industry trends related to urban development, placemaking, and the arts a plus.

Salary will be determined based upon experience, in the range of $38,000 to $45,000. This is a fulltime, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits.
