The Good Network - Meridian, ID
Volunteer
Salary: Other
Application Deadline: Mar 6, 2026
Public, Societal Benefit

The Good Network is not a traditional nonprofit — and that’s by design.

We exist because too many people in real need, and too many small nonprofits doing meaningful work, are unheard. Not because the community doesn’t care, but because algorithms, noise, and lack of access get in the way. The Good Network changes that by acting as a free community megaphone, amplifying stories, needs, and causes through local screens, social media, and visual storytelling that reaches people where they already are.

We support nonprofits, families, individuals, schools, and community members, helping them connect directly with a community that wants to help — without red tape, paywalls, or performative charity.

Our impact so far includes:
• Local media coverage, including features on KTVB, and recognition as a 7’s Hero (January 2026)
6,000+ website views per month, driven by organic community engagement
• Successful fundraising campaigns supporting food-insecure children, families impacted by ALS, and individuals facing kidney replacement and major medical needs
• Partnerships with other local nonprofits to extend reach and avoid duplicated effort
• Community partnerships with trusted brands, including Peterson Chevrolet
• Organizing rallies, inclusion initiatives, and community actions with local roots and global reach

As The Good Network grows, we are forming our founding board and are seeking individuals who can support the organization in one or more of the following areas:

Board Focus Areas
Strategy – helping guide long-term vision and sustainable growth
Governance – ensuring ethical decision-making, accountability, and mission alignment
Finance – providing oversight on budgeting, transparency, and financial responsibility

This is a working board, not a ceremonial one. Board members help protect the mission, strengthen accountability, and ensure we grow without losing the heart of what makes us different.

Time commitment
• Approximately one meeting per month (60–90 minutes)
• Occasional email input or votes

• Initial commitment of 6–12 months

If you believe people shouldn’t have to fight algorithms to be heard, and that communities are strongest when they show up for one another, we’d love to connect.
